Albert Einstein on BBQ

Just ate a boiled rib...

Just ate a boiled rib...

In a previous post I mentioned that Albert Einstein appeared to be a fan of BBQ. I’ve done some more research, and in addition to the previous (mis)quotations have discovered the following musings from the master:

A man sits with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute. He sits on a hot BBQ for a minute, it’s longer than any hour. That is relativity.

As far as the laws of BBQ refer to reality, they are not certain; and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality.

Do not worry about your difficulties in BBQ. I can assure you mine are still greater.

BBQ that is really great and inspiring is created by the individual who can labour in freedom.

It is a miracle that BBQ survives formal education.

Learn from yesterday’s BBQ, live for today’s BBQ, hope for tomorrow’s BBQ. The important thing is not to stop questioning why people would boil ribs…

Not everything that can be barbecued counts; and not everything that counts can be barbecued.

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious BBQ. It is the source of all true art and science.

The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sauces.

Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of good barbecue is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods.

Hopefully he not only had a love for BBQ, but also a sense of humor…
