I made the mistake of asking the family what they wanted me to BBQ today and was met with a resounding chorus of…
On the grill:
OK, the pears were my idea, as we had a bunch sitting around that were going to go bad if we didn’t eat them up soon. As far as the rest of the meal went, I bowed to the pressure and agreed to cook what is apparently a family favorite. So once again the Weber OTG was rolled out and put to work. It has seen a lot of service this week, but it hangs in there like a champ. It’s probably just as well; I spent the afternoon watching my daughter get a book signed by one of the Erin Hunters (apparently there are four of them that write the books under that name). The family has been informed that tomorrow is a smoke day, and that one of the WSMs will be put into play…

I’m jealous! It’s a friends and family favorite too!
You can always lobby for it to be cooked again on Friday for pinochle night. But I wouldn’t count on it again that soon…
