Occasionally I try to cram too many things on the grill at a time.  Tonight was one of those occasions, and I had to resort to digging out one of the removable warming grills and some creative placement of food on the grill.  When all was said and done, it was well worth it.  The pork tenderloin came in two varieties tonight; plain and with rib rub.  We had some apricot pepper jelly from Columbia Empire Farms sitting around that my spousal unit had picked up during a promotional sale at Costco.  Talk about some good eatin’…

As you can see, not much time has passed since the last round of trashbag potatoes.  If I go too long without cooking them, the natives go beyond restless and into withdrawals.  We had half an onion that needed to be used; this was the inspiration for the OPM.  Turned out we had some real tasty mushrooms to go with it, so that wasn’t a bad choice for the veggie.

Vital Statistics:

  • BBQ Start time: 16:25
  • Meal time: 17:55
  • Temperature:     50°F
  • Dew Point:     17°F
  • Humidity:    27%
  • Wind:    ENE at 8mph
  • Precipitation:    0.00in
  • Daily Precip.:    0.00in

The weather was fantastic today.  No rain in sight, and it finally warmed up late in the afternoon.  Considering it was below freezing when we first got up, 50°F at cook time felt downright tropical.  Get out the shorts, sandals, and sunglasses…
