As near as I can tell, the inventor and patent owner ran into some personal issues along the way and production ceased several years ago. Judging from the issues I've read regarding the company going out of business, I'm guessing the patents are so tied up in litigation that these will never see the light of day again. There are some basic improvements that could be easily made, but the patent infringements would make it difficult to ever take the improved version to market...
