Quesday Pizza

Poor planning doesn’t always deliver bad results. Complete lack of planning can be overcome with creativity. Tonight’s recipe: Performer Pizza a la Papa Murphy’s.

Directions:

  • Wait until the last minute to decide what to cook for dinner.
  • Realize that the kids are starving, nothing is thawed, and you are planning to cook low-and-slow tomorrow which should atone for any sins from tonight.
  • Locate pizza coupons.
  • Dial local Papa Murphy’s franchise and order family size Hawaiian and Cowboy pizzas.
  • Start charcoal chimney.
  • Drive to town and pick up pizzas.
  • Return home, spread coals, and heat up the pizza stone.
  • Cook the pizzas.
  • Slice, serve, and eat.

Now see, that Hawaiian pizza turned out OK.

And so did the Cowboy. Granted, neither of these are as good as homemade pizzas, but they come about as close as you can get, and I didn’t hear any complaints at the dinner table.

And tomorrow we’re having ribs…
