Pigdog joined me for dinner tonight, so I fired up the WSM and threw on a pork rib roast and some russet potatoes. The potatoes were already off the grill when I took this picture…
I used the same rub for this roast as the last time I cooked it as I wanted to see if I could replicate the results and get a third-party opinion of where this ranked on the scale of WTHWYT (What The Heck Were You Thinking?) to OMGTLAAM (Oh My God, The Leftovers Are All Mine!).
Based on how quickly the chops disappeared and the lack of leftovers in MY refrigerator it seems to be leaning towards the high end of the rating scale. However I did manage to snag a couple for lunch tomorrow when he wasn’t looking. And beat him at pinochle, so it was a good night…

There seems something wrong with “Pigdog” chomping down on pork ribs. Things that make you go “hmmm”?
Does strike one as a bit cannibalistic, doesn’t it? However, we aren’t sure exactly what species Pigdog is, so its probably OK for him to chow down on pork.
Great looking roast there ZP, one of my favorite roasts, and the rub sounds great.
Sure, never invite us over for dinner;)
