Smoke a butt or two.

Granted, I started this before I went to bed on Sunday, but due to some issues with charcoal management (euphemism for not enough charcoal in the WSM) these took a little longer to cook than normal. They were finally taken off the grill and foiled around noon, and pulled a couple of hours later.

This particular batch is very tender. Might have something to do with the longer cooking time and all the mopping I did during this morning. And no, we didn’t eat this all for dinner; the plan was to have plenty of leftovers to make other things with. Looks like the plan succeeded…

Fire management can really bite ya in the butt, can’t it? But every time that I am too hot, too cold, or whatever, I learn a bit more.
And sometimes it turns into a success like this. And then I just say, “That’s exactly what I MEANT to happen, I planned it that way!”
