Ok, I suppose I should apologize for bringing back that oldie. But I won’t. I had a particularly crappy Monday at work today, and it was saved only by the pulled pork that smoked all night long on the WSM. I deviated from the usual recipe in that no sopping or basting was employed during this cook, and I neglected to measure any of the ingredients in the rub. Turned out ok though…

Some nice cabbage slaw was whipped up following a mad dash to the supermarket late in the day by SWMBO when we discovered there was no mayo anywhere in the house. I decided to put my slaw right on the sandwich with the pulled pork. I hear they do this sort of thing in the South.

And now that I’ve had this served this way, I understand why. Makes for a real tasty sandwich.

Mmmm, that looks good to me, I like the slaw on the sandwich and I am not from the south.
First time I ever tried it that way. Kept seeing pictures and figured I’d better give it a try. Pretty darn good!
perfect… just perfect… a little vinegar based BBQ sauce and I am in heaven!
Funny thing is, I never started doing the slaw on top thing until I moved North to Tennessee
From where we sit, Tennessee is still part of the South. It is certainly south of our latitude…
