This was a long week; fortunately it’s followed by a long weekend. Unfortunately I have a bad case of blogger’s block (something like writer’s block, but no one around here is attempting to pass themselves off as a writer) brought on no doubt by all the email processing that went on this week.
So you get pictures. Of pork chops marinated in white wine, crushed basil, garlic, and a splash of soy sauce. And cheesy taters with onions in a Dutch oven. And string beans with mushrooms in foil.

This post isn’t the only thing that was late tonight; dinner was late as well. I believe it is a crime in several states to work as late as I did on a Friday before a holiday weekend. But better late than never…

Dinner was worth waiting for. At least that is what the family told me. I think they were glad they didn’t have to cook. Then again, it was pretty tasty…

Looks good and I’m sure it taste good, works for me. Sometimes that’s all you can do, like you said no one else was volunteering to cook.
Maybe that’s why I don’t get many complaints; the peanut gallery is afraid I’ll make them cook…
That thick pork job looks just perfect. Nicely coated with rub and moist. Great sides too.
You can expect to see more of those thick pork chops later this month. Now if I can just figure out what to do with raspberries…
