Pigdog brought the sausage

I can’t wait to see how much comment spam I get as a result of the title of this post. Seriously people, get a life. We’re talking pork sausage here that Pigdog bought on sale. Here’s proof…

There were two packages like this, and I suspect they were rapidly reaching their sell-by date when he picked them up, so in spite of the fact I made Bangers and Mash last week, it was on the menu again tonight. The other package was simply labeled “Mediterranean Brand” and gave no idea of what sort of flavor profile they might have. They made for an interesting contrast of colors on Bubba Ho-Keg.

I went to a bit more trouble with the gravy tonight, and patterned it after the recipe I used in the MOINK Ball Pie I made last year. It must have been good, as Pigdog was more than happy to take a bunch of it home for his lunch tomorrow.

The “Mediterranean Brand” sausages were ok, but not something I would buy again, especially as I still haven’t figured out what the primary flavor was. I suppose I could dig the label out of the trash, but all that would satisfy is my curiosity. I still wouldn’t buy them again. On the other hand, the Chili & Smoked Paprika ones were very tasty, and I’m looking forward to having the leftover one on a sandwich for lunch tomorrow.

Now about those spam comments. Is there anyone out there that can tell me what pharmaceuticals have to do with smoker beans?
