The sun finally came out today, and the family came home from visiting relatives, so what better way to celebrate than to fire up some MOINK and hot dogs for Memorial Day.
The MOINK were made using a sprinkle of my basic rub mix and then glazed the last 10 minutes with mango pepper jelly (courtesy of Columbia Empire Farms). There was homemade potato salad too, but no plated pictures were taken.
I think the family was happy to be home, especially when they pulled up the driveway and discovered that the food was already cooking. Nothing like a little outdoor holiday food to start the summer grilling season.
Now we just need for it to stop raining so that summer can begin…
