What’s for Lunch?

Steak, taters, and mushrooms, that’s what. And for leftovers I’ll have angry kids because they were in school and missed it.

This is what they get for consuming my evenings with school events and other soccer-dad (or in my case, bowling dad) activities. The steaks were the last of the overly-thin back-of-the-truck rib eyes, the taters were thick versions of original recipe trashbag potatoes, and the mushrooms were steamed in foil with some butter, white wine, salt, and pepper.

Lunch was a bit brown, but very tasty. And it really hit the spot on a day where the temperature still hasn’t gotten above freezing.

Now I just need to do this a few more times this week before school gets out for the holidays…
