Tri-Tots

Today was a long day, and dinner was cooked late. As such, I wasn’t in the mood for haute cuisine, or anything that required much of an effort. Or a trip to the store. And since there was a tri-tip in the refrigerator already thawed, tater tots in the freezer, and some leftover Carolina Magic (the mustard recipe) on hand, dinner plans came together quickly. The tri-tip received a sprinkling of Simply Marvelous Season All and on the grill it went. About a half an hour later it was ready to carve.

The cabbage slaw used the standard dry ingredients dressed with the Carolina Magic instead of the usual wet ingredients. Tater tots were cooked in the oven. Indoors. Yes, I know how to use an oven.

Yes, I like my beef rare. The tri-tip and slaw was excellent. The tater tots were, well, tater tots. Good with store-bought BBQ sauce. No sense in wasting the good stuff on them.
