Pigdog convinced me to go to the lake this week, and since I drove he was in charge of provisions. And he did himself proud with some monster ribeye steaks.

Cheesy taters, compound butter, and a green salad accompanied these bad boys, and not all of it would fit on one plate.

Not much else to say; I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Especially since I’m headed for the couch to recover…

Oooo, steak, big steak! Nice cooking Paul. I am sure it took PD a lot of work to convince you to go to the lake.
I really wasn’t planning on going this week, but he can be persuasive. Especially when he has steak in the freezer…

Surprisingly, this is the first time I’ve used the butter on top. I figured if the top steak restaurants do this, there must be something to it.
And we’ll likely do it again in the future…
Ribeye steaks? If those were any bigger they’d be rib roasts! Nice.
They took almost as long as a roast to cook. And after eating, it felt like I ate a whole roast…
They were huge and juicy. But do I have to tell you, this is the longest I’ve ever seen it Paul take to down a meal !!! He did have a huge grin on his face when he fell asleep on his couch though….
It takes time to eat a whole roast. And digesting it is a lot of work. Happy work…
