Rainy Fridays call for comfort food. And given there was leftover uncooked tri-tip from the Scary-yaki in the refrigerator, StewBQ was on the menu.

This particular batch contained the remains of a red onion, a few carrots found in the bottom of the vegetable bin, red potatoes, and some mushrooms along with the beef. After browning the beef and onions with some minced garlic, red wine, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce, the veggies were added along with a bottle of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and some salt and pepper. This cooked for about an hour in a dutch oven on the BS Keg at 350°F. A small amount of flour and water were added to thicken the juice, and dinner was served.

About fifteen minutes later, dinner was consumed. No leftovers, and I feel very comfortable…
