Tonight I had to deal with a messy kitchen while attempting to cook some fresh steelhead. In spite of the challenges, I was able to pull off a delicious meal of grilled steelhead (with EVOO, salt, pepper, thyme, and lemon juice), couscous, and sautéed zucchini with beet greens.

Except for the person who dislikes anything resembling salmon, the meal was well-recieved. Good thing, because I’m not cooking again until the kitchen is spotless. And I’m not going to be the one to clean it…

Cooking strike, I love it. Hold the firm line in the sand for a clean kitchen. I know I do at mi casa. No Clean, No Eat !!!!!
Apparently Younger Daughter wants to insure I cook for her as she spent over an hour cleaning up last night. As for the rest of them, we’ll see what it looks like tomorrow after they cook their own meal tonight.
Wasn’t there a movie about mom on strike?
If so, I haven’t seen it. All I know is that I object to having to clean the kitchen before I can even use the counter to prep.
You can always take younger daughter out to eat and let the others eat ….. Well, whatever it is they they can make without the Chef being there
You really don’t want to see what they eat when I don’t cook. Pretty sure you’d starve…
