Ok, the picture might not be the best, but trust me when I say that these pears are a real treat…
- 4 fresh pears (any variety will do)
- 1 shot brandy
- 1 tbs butter
- 2 tbs brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Core the pears, cut into one inch chunks, and throw them into a BBQ-safe pot with a tight lid. If you don’t have one of these, you can use foil, or cover a foil pan with foil. The idea here is to keep as much of steam and juices as possible for the pears to cook in. Mix in the rest of the ingredients and combine well. Cover tightly and put on the grill, cooking indirectly. Cook times will vary depending on how hot of a grill you have them on; on a 350°F (lid temp) grill these should take about 15-20 minutes to cook.
Serve hot over ice cream, or simply spoon into small bowls and enjoy plain.
